Selection and System Integration
Choose a measuring location with a representative sample and cleaning access. Confirm the optical measurement arrangement, reference standard and acceptance criteria for the actual water source.
Installation and Application Notes
Air bubbles, deposits and sample color can influence optical readings. NTU is a turbidity quantity, not a direct suspended-solids concentration in mg/L or a guarantee of pathogen removal. Use additional measurements when assessing filtration performance.
Sample Evaluation
Before a larger order, check the selected sample against the agreed specification using representative operating conditions. Confirm wiring, power, output units and controller communication, then record reference measurements and any configuration changes. Agree on the required documents, packing and replacement components as part of the quotation.
Application FAQ
Can NTU be converted directly to suspended solids?
A site-specific correlation is needed for the actual water and particles. A universal NTU-to-mg/L conversion should not be assumed.
