Rain & Snow Sensor

The Rain & Snow Sensor is designed to detect whether rainfall or snowfall is occurring in the natural environment. It adopts AC measurement technology to prevent oxidation of the sensing plate, ensuring long-term sensitivity and stable detection performance.

With an IP68 waterproof rating, the sensor can operate outdoors for extended periods, even in harsh environmental conditions. Its high sensitivity and fast response enable reliable qualitative detection of whether rain or snow is present, helping provide timely environmental data for agricultural and weather monitoring applications.

An optional built-in heating module is available to quickly melt accumulated snow and prevent the sensing plate from freezing or developing condensation. This allows the sensor to maintain reliable detection performance during cold and snowy conditions.

By providing automatic rain and snow detection, the sensor can significantly reduce farmers’ reliance on manual weather inspections. It helps transform weather-related risk management from passive observation into more precise and automated environmental monitoring.

The sensor also features dry-burn protection and anti-oxidation protection. During heating, the temperature is strictly controlled to 40°C (default) or below, helping prevent overheating and oxidation caused by dry heating and extending the service life of the sensing device.
