Description
This smart three-way irrigation valve combines a three-port valve assembly with the ST-A2 solar-powered controller. It offers a routing option for irrigation contractors and integrators managing branched pipe networks. The selected L-type or T-type valve determines the available flow paths.
Applications
- Routing water between irrigation branches where the required flow states match the selected valve.
- Combining remote operation with a solar-powered actuator at an irrigation junction.
- Building a project-specific valve package for distributors or installation contractors.

Smart Three-Way Irrigation Valve Selection
Choose the flow path before selecting the controller. An L-port and a T-port do not necessarily support the same combinations of inlet, outlet A and outlet B. Provide a marked pipe diagram and a state table showing which branch must be open in each operating step. Do not assume both outlets can be isolated or opened together unless the selected assembly’s flow diagram confirms those states.
Technical Configuration
The following values are listed in the supplier brochure. Confirm the current datasheet and the exact ordered configuration before purchase.
| Parameter | Supplier-listed configuration |
|---|---|
| Controller model | ST-A2 |
| Valve configuration | L-type or T-type; confirm flow-path diagram |
| Listed inlet sizes | De90 / De110 |
| Listed outlet sizes | De63 / De75 / De90 / De110 |
| Power | Solar panel and lithium battery |
| Communication | Supplier-listed 4G; destination network must be checked |
| Listed actuator torque | ≥100 N·m |
| Valve body | PP with glass-fiber reinforcement, supplier-listed |
| Ambient / medium temperature | −20 to 60°C / 0 to 50°C |
Selection and Integration Checks
- Specify required branch states, including any all-closed position and whether simultaneous flow is necessary.
- Confirm the inlet/outlet connection sizes, pipe standards, orientation and installation clearance.
- Request maximum working pressure, differential pressure limits and seal compatibility with the actual water or fertilizer solution.
- Confirm actuator feedback, loss-of-communication behavior and the available emergency/manual operating procedure.
For connected configurations, overseas network bands, SIM provisioning, platform language, account access and service charges require confirmation. Available control functions depend on the selected hardware, feedback instruments and firmware.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from a dual-outlet double-ball valve?
This product uses a selected three-way flow path. A double-ball assembly provides two separately controlled outlet valves. Compare the required state table rather than treating the two designs as substitutes.
Can it deliver equal flow to both branches?
Not automatically. Branch resistance and pressure affect the flow split. Equal or measured delivery requires project design and suitable feedback/control components.
Are pressure and flow sensors included?
The brochure lists pressure/flow feedback as optional. State the required instruments and ask for an itemized configuration; do not assume they are supplied as standard.
